Description

While grief may be a painful experience, most of the time it does not require any particular form of intervention. However, some bereaved individuals may benefit from additional support to help them through this period.

The tool we are offering aims to identify those who may experience greater difficulties following the loss of a loved one, while also highlighting the personal resources they can draw upon in order to receive more effective support.

This cartography tool is intended for all practitioners who may work with people facing an impending loss, as well as with those who are already grieving.

Whether you are a social worker, a psychologist, a community practitioner, or a student, this tool can support you in your decision-making process.

This open online course was developed through a collaboration between the Centre for Research and Expertise in Social Gerontology (CREGÉS) of the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal and the Centre de pédagogie Universitaire (CPU) of the Université de Montréal. Les Formations sur le deuil et l’accompagnement de la Faculté des arts et des sciences de l’Université and the Caregiver Grief Connexion also contributed as consultants.

The english translation of this MOOC was made possible through funding from Health Canada.
