Hardan, Louna Maria

Louna is a master student under the supervision of Dr Malek Batal, within CIENS. A graduate of the Université de Montréal with a bachelor's degree in nutrition, Louna decided to continue her academic journey at the master's level, to explore more the world of research in nutrition at the level of public health.

Her research project focuses on the impact of front-of-pack labelling on food quality in Quito, Ecuador. She also interned with the United Nations High-Level Panel on Food Security and Nutrition, where she further developed her interests in food systems, food security and public policy.
